THE STORY:
You may have noticed: we’re actually already married! So why are we doing this wedding thing all over again?
It all started in May of 2024 on a camping trip. Katya realized that October 7, 2024 would have been her Babushka and Dedushka’s 70th wedding anniversary. Wanting to feel connected to her incredible grandparents, Katya suggested to Walter that they tie the knot on this day - as an homage to a beautiful love story. Since October 7 was only a few short months away, K & W planned to do a small, intimate ceremony and have a party at a local bar afterwards. The parents weren’t too thrilled with that plan and so we decided: host a small wedding on October 7 and celebrate again - with family and friends - next year. And now it’s next year and we cannot wait to see our favorite people for wedding number 2! Stay tuned for wedding number 3 in 2026! (Kidding…probably)
